Rodent Republic Fact Sheet 1

 
  Rodent Republic was founded in March 2001 by a committee of concerned rodents in the city of Tongeren, Belgium with the aim of building a platform for free speach, self rule and general well- being. The republic comprises rodent as well as human members and is open to all terrestrian and alien species. The official republican language is English, although any other language is accepted to enable multi- species communication. The republics territory covers a rectangle of 10 by 5 meters in the city center and is frequently moved to comply with the citizens needs. In the founding ceremony it was actually stretched to cover the whole of West Belgium and adhering parts of Germany to ensure enough space for loitering. >>
